Two Long-Time Truck Teams Join Forces for Bristol

MB Motorsports and K-Automotive Motorsports, both established NASCAR Craftsman Truck teams since 1995, have joined together to run Bristol Motor Speedway on Wednesday, August 23, 2006.  The #63 Ford F-150 Dave Porter Truck Sales sponsored NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series truck will be piloted by veteran driver, Brad Keselowski.

“We have been working together with Bob Keselowski the past few races and this is a great opportunity for us to pool our resources and further our relationship”, said Mike Mittler, MB Motorsports owner.

“This is a privilege and an honor for me to return to the K-Automotive Motorsports seat and drive for my Dad and Mike Mittler”, stated Brad Keselowski. “We had a strong run at Bristol last year and I’m excited to have the opportunity to have a better run this year”.

MB Motorsports has fielded a race truck in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series since 1995 when the series began. The team has gained a well-recognized reputation for launching the careers of many talented young drivers into NASCAR racing, including the late Tony Roper (1995), the late Kenny Irwin Jr. (1996), Jamie McMurray (1999), Carl Edwards (2002), and Regan Smith (2002).

K Automotive racing history extends well before the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series evolved. Bob and Ron Keselowski both were successful drivers winning many races in USAC and ARCA stock cars through the 70’s, 80’s, & 90’s. K Automotive also started NASCAR Craftsman Truck racing in 1995 accumulating 10 victories to date. Bob Keselowski drove through the 1998 season, with Dennis Setzer, Frank Kimmel, Terry Cook, and Brad Keselowski handling the driving duties since that time.

“It is a pleasure to work with Mike Mittler and the MB Motorsports team,” Bob Keselowki commented. “Our team had a good run at Bristol last year, so with our two teams combined efforts, we’re looking for Brad to have a very good run this year.”

The O’Reilly 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck race at Bristol Motor Speedway will be broadcast live on Speed Channel, MRN Radio, and XM Satellite Radio, Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at 9:00 pm ET.
