Allgaier Takes to Trucks
in Milwaukee
West Allis, WI (June 26, 2006) - Justin
Allgaier, the young Rookie of the Year Contender
in the ARCA RE/MAX Series is making quite a name
for himself in 2006. The 20 year-old driver
has taken to the track not only in his ARCA,
Late Model and Midget cars but this past weekend
drove in his first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
race of the year.
Allgaier jumped into the No. 63 Dave Porter
Truck Sales Ford at The Milwaukee Mile for the
running of the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series event. The Mike
Mittler owned team hasn’t had much success
so far in 2006 and asked Allgaier to see what
he could do to improve their season. Allgaier
not only put them in the race for the first time
in 2006 starting in the 26th place position,
but brought home a respectable 22nd place finish
in the 200 lap event.
“Mike Mittler called and asked me to drive
the truck to see what they could do to make it
better,” Allgaier said. “It
was an off weekend for ARCA so I thought I’d
try to help them out. They put a good truck
underneath me and we were able to nail down a
decent qualifying run and a solid finish. I’ve
driven for the Mittler’s before so I was
familiar with the team which it made it easier
for them and me. They’ve asked me
to drive in Kansas this weekend and I’m
looking forward to improving our performance
from last week. I really like racing in
the NASCAR Series and look forward to making
that a full-time step soon.”
Allgaier will be running double duty this weekend
in Kansas in both the ARCA RE/MAX Series and
the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Both
events will be televised live on SPEED Saturday,
July 1, 2006 with the NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 event
beginning at 3:00 pm ET with the ARCA RE/MAX
Kansas Lottery $200 Grand immediately following.
