David Stover, MB Motorsports Sporting New Sponsor, ENERPAC, for Las Vegas 350

David Stover and MB Motorsports are pleased to welcome Enerpac as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the 2003 season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS).  Enerpac’s first race with the #63 Dave Porter Truck Sales/MB Motorsports Ford is Saturday in “Sin City” for the Las Vegas 350.

ENERPAC is the leading manufacturer of hydraulic tools and components for a variety of applications worldwide, making it the brand of choice for industries such as automotive manufacturing and assembly, construction, power generation, metals transformation, and maintenance and repair operations, all supported by service and engineering locations across every continent.

"We couldn't be happier to have ENERPAC on board for the remainder of our season," said MB Motorsports owner and crew chief, Mike Mittler. "The company has a long history of manufacturing all types of high-pressure hydraulic equipment, beginning with the manufacturing of shock absorbers for the legendary Ford Model T.  With that kind of pedigree, it's obvious ENERPAC produces quality equipment and we're proud to represent them and have them as part of our team."

Stover, finishing a career-best 17th recently at Bristol, is hoping the confidence gained by that strong run will carry over to Las Vegas this weekend.

"Finishing in the top-20 at Bristol did a lot to boost the morale on our team," said the Tulsa, Okla., native, preparing for his seventh NCTS start.  "Bristol is one of the hardest tracks on the schedule and I think it shows we can run up front and be competitive."

Mittler, whose teams have always run well at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, said Saturday could be another career day for Stover.  “We seem to excel at tracks like Vegas and Texas.  David was running strong at Kansas this summer until he got loose and spun out midway through the race. “

"We've had some inconsistencies so far," he continued, "but overall, I'm pleased with the way David and the team are running right now, we're getting him ready to hopefully run a full season in 2004."

MB Motorsport’s primary sponsor for the Las Vegas 350 is Dave Porter Truck Sales, “Your Star Connection,” located in Wright City, Mo.  Dave Porter Truck Sales specializes in premium low-mileage semi trucks and trailers with nationwide sales (49 of 50 states) catering to the smaller owner/operator. A full-service facility is available for customer service, repairs, parts, and “The Chrome Connection,” all maintained by eight qualified service technicians with over 100 years combined experience. Dave Porter Truck Sales is located on I-70 (exit 199) in Wright City, MO. Contact Dave Porter Truck Sales at 800-407-8008 or e-mail: Dptsllc@aol.com

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series “Las Vegas 350” will be carried live from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway by MRN Radio and the Speed Channel television, Saturday, September 27, at 8:30 p.m. CST.
