MB Motorsports and the #63 Ford Truck Welcomes RACEceiver.com
as Associate Sponsor for IRP
The
#63 Ford Truck is happy to welcome RACEceiver.com as an Associate Sponsor for
the IRP race on August 1, 2003. RACEceiver.com’s SW-251 Microscanner enables
the NASCAR enthusiast to listen to behind-the-scenes communications of their
favorite teams. Due to it’s unbelievably small size and price combined
with powerful performance, the RACEceiver
is now the hottest radio in racing. The size of a standard pager, the RACEceiver
clips easily to your cap or drops in a shirt pocket. The RACEceiver offers 251
preprogrammed channels, a sleek new design, completely re-engineered for even
stronger reception, speed and horsepower. New features include our "hot
jump" feature so you can jump from your favorite driver to the Race broadcast
and back again, with a simple push of a button! The new "SW"
series includes "wide band" technology for even better reception!
"RACEceiver.com's SW251 microscanner lets the fans become a part of the action,"
stated Mike Mittler. "With such a wide variety of channels, they can tune
into the team or pick up the broadcast highlights with a push of a button.
The SW251 microscanner will bring us closer to our fans and we're certainly
thrilled about that. We are pleased to have them with us at IRP."
The
#63 MB Motorsports team is excited and anxious to return to IRP Friday night,
August 1st for the “Power Stroke Diesel 200” NASCAR Craftsman Truck
race. In 2002, Carl Edwards, in his 5th NCTS start, drove the
#63 Ford Truck to a fifth place qualifying spot. David Stover will start
his 5th NCTS race at IRP August 1st and, hopefully, equal
or better the 2002 starting position.
"We
have always run well at IRP," stated Mike Mittler, owner and crew chief.
"Carl Edwards gave us our best qualifying position ever, last year at IRP.
David Stover, our current driver, is very talented and is progressing rapidly.
We know David will do well at IRP."
"I'm
looking forward to racing at IRP," commented David Stover. "I've not raced
at IRP before, but it will be fun. You get to run out next to the wall,
like we did at I-70 Speedway. The two race tracks are similar and I've
run a lot of laps at I-70 which hopefully will help us have a good finish."
David
Stover was the Late Model Stock Car 2002 Rookie of the Year at I-70 Speedway
in Odessa, Missouri. He also finished 8th in the final season
points battle.
"IRP
is a race we especially want to run well," Mike Mittler continued. "We
continue to look for major marketing partners to work with. The "Brickyard
400" weekend brings all types of corporate people to Indianapolis, who will
be watching the performance of all the teams in each NASCAR division.
A good run and finish at IRP could open the door to a mutually beneficial relationship."
The “Power Stroke Diesel 200” NASCAR Craftsman Truck race
at Indianapolis Raceway Park will be broadcast live on Speed Channel television
and MRN radio at 8:00 p.m. (central) on Friday night August 1, 2003.
