MB Motorsports Congratulates
Jamie McMurray on His Winston Cup Ride
MB Motorsports extends congratulations to Jamie McMurray
on the announcement that he will drive the Chevron Texaco Havoline sponsored,
Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Dodge on the 2003 Winston Cup circuit.
MB Motorsports is very proud that Jamie Mc Murray drove his first 14 NASCAR
races in the MB Motorsports/Mittler Brothers Machine & Tool #26 Ford Truck
in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series from August 1999 to July 2000. It was obvious
that Jamie was destined to move up the NASCAR ladder when in only his third
NASCAR race in 1999 he qualified and finished 11th at Las Vegas Motor
Speedway. Jamie went on to post a 7th place qualifying effort in
the #26 Ford Truck at Texas Motor Speedway in 2000, finishing 14th
after a flat tire with 20 laps remaining took him out of the top-10.
"Everyone at MB Motorsports is very proud to have been associated with Jamie
during his early NASCAR career," stated Mike Mittler, owner. "We all knew he
was a talented driver, but going to Winston Cup in three short years is amazing."
"We are also very proud of the fact," continued Mike Mittler, "that Jamie is
the second driver to come from MB Motorsports and drive the Havoline sponsored
Winston Cup car. The late Kenny Irwin Jr. piloted the #26 Ford Truck at Phoenix
International Raceway in early 1996 to start his NASCAR career and eventually
moved on to drive the Havoline sponsored Winston Cup car. "
"GOOD JOB JAMIE" from the entire #63 MB Motorsports NASCAR Craftsman Truck
Team.
