MB Motorsports and Carl Edwards Look to Continue NCTS Success

Coming off a career best finish at Kansas Speedway, MB Motorsports and driver Carl Edwards look to continue the on track performance that has been turning heads throughout the series the last few weeks. In only their third race together Carl and the team, finished 8th in last weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250.  They were able to avoid the wrecks, run with the top teams and bring the truck home in good condition.

"I'm really looking forward to Kentucky this weekend,” said Carl.  “I’ve never been to the track, but I’m told that it’s similar to Kansas and I obviously enjoyed that track last weekend with the great run we had.”

"Our results are speaking for us lately and we want to continue that this weekend at Kentucky," commented owner and crew chief Mike Mittler. "Carl is a great driver.  He's got a real future in this sport and we're going to give him a truck this weekend that will help him continue to perform at the level he's capable of."

"This team has some of the hardest working guys in the garage. They're probably doing the most with the fewest resources," says Carl.  "We have a volunteer crew and Mittler Brothers is running this team out of their pocket.  With some good sponsorship we could really show this series what we are capable of."

MB Motorsports has competed in the two previous CTS races at Kentucky.  They finished 22nd in 2001 with Larry Gunselman driving and 17th in 2000 with driver Jamie McMurray.
