Missouri-based Waterloo Tool Storage Team Ready to Please Fans
In Kansas 250
MB Motorsports is the only NASCAR touring race team based in the state of Missouri.
The 3-hour trip across I-70 to the Kansas City racetracks is a very familiar
trip. Since 1990, MB Motorsports has competed at I-70 Speedway in late model
stock cars and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, as well as the road course
at Heartland Park outside of Topeka, Kansas.
"We've logged a lot of miles on I-70 between St. Louis and Kansas City over
the past 12 years," commented owner, Mike Mittler. "I-70 was our home track
when we ran the late model cars. We are excited to be able to run at the new
Kansas Speedway. We have lots of fans in this area and our sponsor, Waterloo
Tool Storage, has three out of four plants within easy driving distance from
the track."
Waterloo Tool Storage Division, part of Waterloo Industries, is the world’s
largest manufacturer of tool storage products for the consumer and professional
markets. The company manufactures over 2500 storage products for the tool storage
and health care industries. Distribution channels are worldwide with the catalog
printed in eight languages. World headquarters is located in Waterloo, Iowa,
with plants in Sedalia, Missouri, Muskogee, Oklahoma, and Pocahontas, Arkansas,
employing 1200 associates.
"I'm looking forward to running the new Kansas super speedway, " stated driver
Larry Gunselman. "This team has run well on super speedways in the past and
we had a good run at Daytona. Our motor program is real strong and the
guys have worked hard to give me a good truck."
"We plan to have this Waterloo Tool Storage Ford run in the lead pack all day,"
continued Larry. "There will be a lot of Waterloo and Mittler Brothers Machine
& Tool people cheering us on, since this track is so close to each sponsors
plants. We definitely want to give them plenty of things to cheer about."
