Waterloo
Tool Storage Ford Grabs 16th In “O’Reilly Auto Parts 250” Truck Race
Despite temperatures over 100 degrees, driver Larry Gunselman kept his cool
and brought the #63 Waterloo Tool Storage Ford home to a 16th place
finish in the inaugural O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 at the new Kansas Speedway in
the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
"I'm happy with our finish," said Larry. "The team took a couple races
off to regroup and prepare for a renewed effort during the remainder of the
year and our hard work is already showing dividends. We plan on
these last two races being the start of many more good finishes."
The finish is the fourth top-20 for the MB Motorsports team this year and the
second in a row.
"We fought a tight truck all day long," said Larry. "The crew worked hard on
the pit stops to loosen the truck up enough without going too far, but we never
could get it just right."
Owner Mike Mittler commented, “On a day that was so hot and gave so many teams
problems we are happy to have the truck in one piece and still running at the
end. That’s more than a lot of teams left Kansas with.”
Larry Gunselman now sits in 21st position in the NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series driver standings and owner Mike Mittler is 25th in owners’
points.
The #63 Waterloo Tool Storage Ford will be racing this weekend at the new Kentucky
Speedway in Sparta, Kentucky on Saturday evening, July 14th.
The live broadcast of the “Kroger 225” NASCAR Craftsman Truck race will be
on ESPN television and MRN radio starting at 7:00 p.m. Central.
